A two part heat cure epoxy widely used for bonding optical fibres into ceramic, metal and plastic ferrules housed in fibre optic connectors. The epoxy features a long pot life of 4 hours and undergoes a colour change to indicate curing. The epoxy can be applied using a syringe such as stock no. 514-717.
Note
Choice of cure temperature is dependant on connector type. Although a cure schedule is provided, it is recommended that users cure by colour change and not time at a specific temperature. If the epoxy is cured too quickly by overheating, the fibre may crack. Curing should be at a uniform temperature using an even temperature heater or oven.
