The PICkit™ Serial Analyzer is a USB-based tool used to direct communication between a PC and an external serial device Simplifies the chore of managing serial communication with a device under test. The Windows® GUI configures the hardware and scripts communication with the target device. Scripts created within the software GUI are saved to an internal library for future use. Scripts can be conveniently assigned to push buttons or simply executed directly from the library index. All communication data and events are posted to a transaction window in a readable format.
Features and Benefits:
Protocols supported: I²C Master/Slave, SPI Master, USART Asynchronous/Synchronous, LIN (external hardware required to meet electrical specifications), MICROWIRE 28-Pin Demo Board includes a PIC16F886, switch, LED(s), connector for the PICkit™ analyser and ample prototype area Processor contains demonstration firmware supporting I²C communication and emulation of 3 I²C devices: EEPROM, ADC and Real Time Clock Example custom GUI(s) are provided to demonstrate use of the DLL in each of the supported serial protocols. The examples come as projects for Visual Basic 2005 Express (free download from Microsoft®) Serial analyzer software uses Microsoft® .NET Framework: the installation process will automatically download .NET from the internet if not present
28-Pin Demo board:
The demo board is a small, yet simple demo PCB designed to showcase the PICkit. It features PIC16F886 MCU, 4 LED's to show the state of the board and a small potentiometer. This board has multiple test points to access the I/O pins of the MCU and a prototyping area. This board Is designed to be programmed with the PICkit.
