RS PRO Legionella Digital Thermometer with Integral Timer

Introducing the RS PRO Legionella Digital Thermometer, a high quality and high accuracy device that has been specifically designed for legionella temperature monitoring. It combines a waterproof design with integral 1 and 2-minute timers and a wide temperature range of -200°C to 1372°C. The handheld thermometer offers a compact, all in one solution for the management of legionella in a wide variety of environments when paired with the RS PRO Dual Purpose Probe for surface and immersion temperature measurement.

This RS PRO single input thermocouple-logging digital temperature device is ideal for quick and effective temperature monitoring for legionella risk management

This high quality and reliable, microprocessor driven, digital thermometer has a °C/°F switchable function and a measurement range of -200°C to 1372°C (probe type dependant)

Because of the design of this thermometer, it has the ultimate flexibility of thermocouple types K and T, which means this device can be used for monitoring extremely low or high temperatures

This self-calibrating thermometer can be used to test specifically for legionella in workplaces, residential and privately managed accommodation such as hospitals, care homes, holiday camping sites and many more

Also included is a low battery indication feature to ensure that the device does not switch off suddenly during the measurement process

Supplied with a shock-resistant rubber boot that is waterproof and dustproof (IP67) to fully protect the device, PP3 Battery and Legionella advice book

What is Legionnaires’ disease?

Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia. The cause of the disease is a bacterium called Legionella pneumophila and can be caught by inhaling small droplets of water suspended in the air which contain the legionella bacterium which is mainly found in: stagnant water e.g. in ponds and rivers or in buildings containing cooling towers, evaporation condensers, air conditioning and industrial cooling systems, humidifiers, spa baths and hot and cold-water systems.
