This piezo diaphragm buzzer from RS PRO is ultra-thin and lightweight. It's made from a ceramic piezoelectric disc adhered to a brass plate, to produce a clear tone with low power consumption. The external-drive design is simple, reliable and keeps the weight down (the buzzer does require some external circuitry in order to operate). The buzzer is designed for surface mounting, making it ideal for use when constructing devices. The bare piezo element allows engineers to construct a housing to achieve the optimal sound output. It will operate at temperatures between -20°C and +60°C, making it ideal for use in a wide range of environments. It's available with or without flying lead connections to suit your application. The buzzer conforms to American (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014) and British (BS EN 61340-5-1:2007) electrostatic control standards, meaning it won't damage equipment via electrostatic discharge. Buzzers of this type are commonly found in devices including clocks, calculators and digital cameras.
