The IK8839 is a single phase relay for monitoring the operating current of electrical consumers and works on the quiescent current principle. Its i-k current path is galvanically separated from the remaining part of the device by a current transformer. An auxiliary voltage must be applied to terminals A1 → A2 (in accordance with IEC 255, VDE 0345).
