Cooper Bussmann IEC cylindrical class gG-gL and aM fuses are intended for industrial applications. Some industrial fuse links are available with an operated visible fuse indicator. Sizes 14 x 51, 22 x 58 in both class gG-gL and aM are also available with a built-in striker for micro-switch operation and remote indication.
Use this cartridge fuse from the Eaton range to protect your home appliances from overcurrent and short circuits. It's known as a 'sacrificial device', which means it sacrifices itself by melting to break a circuit's power supply when there's a fault, safeguarding operators and equipment. As a gG-type fuse, it's meant for general-purpose wire protection. A ceramic body gives it a high thermal capacity, making it useful in circuits prone to overheating. You'll find fuses like this commonly used in changeover switches, distribution boxes and circuit breakers.
Features & Benefits
• Voltage rating of 500V AC (alternating current) for use in low-voltage applications • Light weight of 8.2g for easy handling and minimal strain on your system • Quick and easy clip-on mounting to a fuse holder for tool-free installation
What factors can affect fuse life?
A number of factors can cause a fuse to break. These include temperature, electrical pulses, continuous voltage drops and inrush currents that exceed the current rating of the fuse or equipment. If you're getting through fuses quickly and you can't find a short circuit, one of these factors may be responsible.
