    Clamping Circuits

The reliability and signal integrity of electronics interface circuits is increased when protected against high-voltage power supply spikes and surges. Transient voltage clamping in electronic circuits is designed to shield the input voltage of data and power lines. The input supply voltage is monitored, regarding the reference voltage value for surge stop controllers. On short-duration of transient events, there is ride-through protection.

A fault timer causes the output to shut off on persistent faults and act as a circuit breaker. They offer solid front-end protection with low capacitance and low leakage current.

    Types are:

    • Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS)
    • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
    • Protection Over Voltage Protection (OVP)
    • Over Current Protection (OCP)
    • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
    • Suppression Circuit Protection against Latch-Up
