HRC Coupling Flanges

HRC coupling flanges are simple fittings with tapered locking bush fixings. They are commonly used in applications involving electric motors and rotating shafts.

What are HRC coupling flanges made of?

HRC couplings are made up of 2 cast-iron halves that are attached to shafts by either a hub mount or flange mount taper bushes. Between these two halves is a rubber 'spider' that acts as a shock absorber.

What are the different types of HRC coupling flanges?

There are three main types of HRC coupling flanges: H, F and B, and it's important to choose the right one for each application. H stands for Hub insertion, F is for Flange insertion and B is for Bore flange.

With a hub flange, you insert the tapered locking bush from the outer hub side, whereas with a flange type you insert the tapered locking bush from the inner flange side. A bore flange comes ready made with a pilot bore flange. You can also mix all three types together.
